An Indian-British crime thriller film which is set in High Wycombe is now available to watch on Netflix.
Named ‘The Buckingham Murders’, the flick focuses on Jasmeet "Jass" Bhamra, a grieving detective who lost her child after they were shot by a drug user.
She requests a transfer from her force to an area in Buckinghamshire (which later turns out to be High Wycombe) and is immediately tasked with solving the murder of a Sikh teenager called Ishpreet Kohli.
A Muslim boy is then arrested on suspicion of Ishpreet’s death, which causes huge racial tensions amongst areas of Wycombe between those who practise Sikhism and Islam.
