A school for girls aged three to 11 has joined a group, becoming the tenth school to do so.
High March School in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, joined Wishford Education, a leading provider of independent education in the UK.
The school has been providing education since 1926.
The grandchildren of former heads and owners of High March, Belinda Avery and Michael Chapples, were dedicated to finding the right group for the school.
They said: "Our responsibility and professional mission is to ensure that the soul and ethos of High March is secured and nurtured, not just for the immediate present, but for years to come and for the generations of future High March pupils."
The pair said that Wishford's values of kindness, friendship, and educational excellence aligned with those of High March.
They also praised the group's commitment to preserving the unique character of each of its schools.
Ms Avery and Mr Chapples said: "The school will benefit from Wishford’s academic and professional support in an increasingly complex environment and will be part of a financially strong and mutually supportive group with an Advisory Board comprising respected educationalists with considerable experience of prep school life."
Wishford's founder, Sam Antrobus, expressed great admiration for High March School.
He said: "We have been getting to know High March over the past year or so and have been extremely impressed with the excellent quality of education the children enjoy and the school’s happy, purposeful atmosphere.
"We are excited to be partnering with headmistress, Mrs Kate Gater, and her strong team to build on the school’s many successes and outstanding reputation.
"We are delighted that Belinda and Mike will continue to support us and the school in a consulting capacity."
Joining the Wishford group provides long-term security for High March, which is important in the ever-changing education sector.
Wishford Education is a leading provider of independent education in the UK.
The group includes independent prep schools, senior schools, nurseries, and day and residential camps.
Each school has its own character but shares a common ethos.
Wishford schools work together but maintain their unique characteristics.
The partnership with Wishford reduces the school's administrative and regulatory responsibilities, allowing the leadership team to focus more on their pupils.
The strategic leadership and governance provided by Wishford, described as 'excellent' in every inspection its schools have had since joining the group, will ensure High March continues to improve.
Wishford said its schools 'provide high-quality learning, outstanding opportunities, and a happy, caring environment in which children achieve amazing things'.
