Heavy queues were spotted in the centre of High Wycombe after parts of the M40 near the town were closed due to a crash.

During morning rush hour on Tuesday, November 12, a collision on the outside lane of the M40 between Beaconsfield and Loudwater led to lengthy delays.

However, this caused significant delays, with Google Maps revealing that it would take motorists nearly 25 minutes to travel from the centre of High Wycombe to Loudwater.

Images taken from the London Road showed several cars were stationary for several minutes, before traffic started to ease near several junctions.

It is hoped that queues in the area will start to clear by late morning.
