A new burger joint has officially opened in High Wycombe.
Beef Guys, which is based in Frogmoor, unveiled itself to the public on Sunday, November 10 and were greeted by roughly 40 to 50 eager customers.
And despite not being on any delivery service as of yet, they are trailing the week as a ‘soft opening’, before having their grand ceremony on Friday, November 15.
The eatery is one of many in the Frogmoor section of the town, but the takeaway’s owner, Omar Hamidyar, believes the fact they are the only establishment in the area that will offer red donner tikka meat could be a unique selling point.
He told the Free Press: “We’re excited as we want to be different.
“In the background, there is around 10 to 15 years of experience behind us, but in terms of Beef Guys, we’ve been working on this for about eight to nine months.
“This is a new idea because no one is offering what we offer in High Wycombe.
“We have smoked brisket and ribs which are cooked for about 12 to 13 hours and we are also offering red tikka donner meat.
“No-one else in the town is offering that.
“We are very excited because the red tikka donner is the new item in this town.
“You won’t be disappointed.”
Beef Guys replaces the short-lived pizzeria, Detroit Pizza, which was launched in 2023.
Omar has also opted to keep the previous business’ décor and design, which includes unique yellow and brick tiles, the American wall numberplates, as well as a huge functioning traffic light inside the shop.
He continued: “This is an exciting time and we are hoping people can come and try us out.
“I like this décor – especially with the tiles and with the colour.
“Black and yellow was good because all the other places have the same colours.
“Mainly white and red – we wanted to be different and this stands out.”
Finally, despite being situated next to two international businesses KFC and Subway respectively, the owner hopes those in the area can support his shop instead of opting to eat in a chain.
He added: “It is very important to support your local business.
“We have been here for the last 20 years, and we loved it here.
“This is our home, my kids grow up here, this is our community, and we hope they can try us out.”
