Some strong opinions have been revealed as Bucks Free Press readers debate if fireworks should be banned from public sale.
The discussion began following Diwali and Bonfire Night (November 5) as fireworks were unleashed across the county.
Since then, fireworks have been set off over the weekends with many taking to Facebook to express their opinions.
Readers expressed their views on the Bucks Free Press Facebook page.
A majority of readers believe that fireworks should be banned from public sale.
Emma Louise Bridgeman said: "Yes as some idiot set a load of massive ones off last night and the embers all fell on my car! It’s ruined"
Kelly Witts said: "They cause so much distress to animals and people, they are also very dangerous in the wrong hands."
Dianne Blake echoed this: "Yes they don’t think about the animals."
Nicole Tilbury said: "Yes! I’ve just been walking my dog and found loads of used and unused fireworks near a park, with little children in!
"It’s unacceptable, that could hurt anyone! No one sees the danger of them and the risk to ALL animals!"
Sam Baker advocated for different fireworks laws.
She said: "Yep, just make the silent ones but then again my friends horse got burnt from a falling firework."
Karolyn Ray disagreed with the majority, adding: "No - freedom of choice and all that."
Jeff Woodbridge simply said: "No."
