Buckinghamshire’s Great British Bake Off contestant Dylan Bachelet was named the show’s ‘Star Baker’ in the most recent episode of the programme.
The aspiring baker, who used to attend the Sir Henry Floyd Grammer School in Aylesbury, wowed judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith in the ‘Dessert Week’ round after he produced a meringue nest, a spotted dick and a tiramisu.
For his meringue nest, he opted to go for a dark chocolate, genoise sponge and passion fruit.

Unlike a traditional meringue, the contestant created it in the shape of a coconut, which was described by Hollywood as ‘really clever’ as it ‘looked like an illusion.’
He said: “You do get the coconut coming through, and there is nice as that has a beautiful texture to it.
“You have done something very unique.
“It is original and delicious.”

After receiving praise from both judges, he was given a ‘Hollywood Handshake’, which is a sign on the show that the celebrity baker was impressed with the contestant’s initiative and endeavour.
In the technical challenge, he was tasked to make a spotted dick, where he came first.
The judges said that Dylan’s dessert ‘tastes good’, whilst also praising the accompanying custard.
Finally, in the last challenge, he made a tiramisu which stunned viewers.

His version was created in an edible chocolate box (which he made), which again wowed the judges in Paul and Prue.
After being named ‘Star Baker’, Dylan has now been made one of the favourites to win this year’s edition of the competition.
The team at OLBG shared the latest Great British Bake Off winner predictions and have ranked the 20-year-old as 9/4 odds.
He is second behind 34-year-old paediatric nurse Georgie Grasso is the current favourite with odds of 2/1.
The next episode will take place on November 12.
