A 12-year-old boy has suffered a head injury after armed burglars targetted houses, stealing gold and cash. 

Police are investigating after burglaries took place at properties in Roundwood Road, Amersham and Chessfield Park, Little Chalfont. 

It is believed that between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, around three to five suspects travelled to the targeted properties in a car. 

They were armed with unknown weapons and stole gold and a quantity of cash.

A 12-year-old boy suffered minor injuries to his head. 

No other victims were injured. 

Investigating officer Detective Constable Molly Dugmore, of Buckinghamshire’s Priority Crime Team, said: “I would like to reassure the residents of Buckinghamshire that we take all reports of aggravated burglaries very seriously, and enquires are ongoing to identify those responsible.

“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed either of these aggravated burglaries or has information about it to please get in touch.

“We are also appealing for witnesses that may have seen vehicles acting suspiciously in these areas between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on 31 October.
