Beaconsfield Services, operated by Extra Motorway Services Areas (MSA), has revamped its Greggs and M&S Food stores to improve the customer experience.
As part of the refurbishment, the units at the M40 J2 stop have been given a modern layout and updated seating areas.
The company said that this has created a 'welcoming and cosy feel' for customers.
The shops have also been given a 'more efficient' layout for Extra's 'friendly staff' to serve customers their favourite food and snacks.
Greggs and M&S are just two of the many food and drink retailers at Beaconsfield Services with Nando’s, McDonald’s, and El Mexicana among the others.
The services have millions of visitors annually.
Extra MSA said that it always aims to improve its offering to road users as it strives to be the nation's top motorway services operator for customer satisfaction.
It has recently partnered with software giant Reputation to monitor customer insights and implement their feedback into the business.
Tom Dobson, CEO at Extra MSA Group, said: "Investing in regular refurbishments of our units is part of our promise to always go the 'Extra mile' for our customers, making their experience at our services even more enjoyable and accessible.
"With Beaconsfield being one of our most popular service stations, we want all visitors to feel welcome and happy when purchasing their beloved bakes and favourite fresh foods at Greggs and M&S Food.
"We’re looking forward to continuing delivering an exceptional service to all road users across the nation."
Extra MSA Group is a UK motorway service area developer and operator.
It currently operates eight MSAs across England, including Baldock, Beaconsfield, Blackburn with Darwen, Cambridge, Cobham, Cullompton, Leeds Skelton Lake, and Peterborough.
Most of these MSAs feature popular food and beverage brands including McDonald's, KFC, Starbucks, Costa, Leon, Nando’s, and Pizza Express.
They also have children’s play areas and outdoor spaces for visitors to enjoy the scenery or go for a walk.
Extra’s MSAs offer high-powered electric vehicle charging from IONITY.
The company has met the government target of having six high-powered electric vehicle chargers at each MSA ahead of the 2023 national deadline.
In Transport Focus' Motorway Services User Survey 2022, Extra MSA was ranked top of the four biggest MSA operators in terms of overall satisfaction.
In its 2023 iteration, Extra ranked top overall for overall satisfaction, NPS, and satisfaction with toilets.
Leeds Skelton Lake, one of the Extra MSAs, was ranked in the top 10 for best individual MSAs.
