A man has pleaded guilty after shooting a police officer with a crossbow in the aftermath of a serious stabbing in Downley.
Jason King, 54, of School Close admitted multiple charges at Aylesbury Crown Court on Thursday after the shocking incident in May.

Friday, May 10
Police were called between 7pm and 8pm to reports that a man in his 60s had been stabbed in School Close.
Armed police raced to the scene where they saw a man running along the street with a weapon.
He was then filmed shooting a crossbow at PC Curtis Foster before being gunned down by armed police.

The man suffered 'potentially life-changing injuries' and was put in an ambulance on a stretcher and taken to hospital.
The man in his 60s who had been stabbed and the PC Foster were also taken in for treatment but discharged later that day.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that they had arrested the man on suspicion of attempted murder.
Saturday, May 11 - Sunday May, 12
A cordon remained in place after the incident with officers stopping anyone from going near the shooter's house.
The building had two of its front windows smashed with blood seen on one of the neighbouring front doors.

The cordon was relaxed on the Sunday evening with Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown saying the force was investigating the incident as an 'absolute priority'.
He added: "The incident occurred at a busy time of day so we’re sure there are likely to be many witnesses and people with information, pictures or footage relating to the incident.
"If you were in School Close, the nearby park or the surrounding area from 5.45pm yesterday, please get in touch."
The cordon was lifted in the days after the incident though a police van remained at the scene.
Thursday, May 22
Jason King was named by police nearly two weeks after the incident as the force revealed he had been charged with a series of offences.
He was accused of two counts of Section 18 - wounding with intent and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.

King was also charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, affray, possession of a knife in a public place, criminal damage, cultivation of cannabis, possession of cannabis and assault by beating an emergency worker.
The 54-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court that same day.
Friday, September 20
King pleaded guilty to section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a bladed article.
Thursday, October 31
King appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to one count of section 20 grievous bodily harm and affray.
The court heard how two other charges on the indictment, criminal damage and cultivation of cannabis, are due to lie on file.

Thames Valley Police revealed that the incident involved an argument between King and a neighbour leading to him stabbing the man in the stomach.
PC Foster was hit in the leg by the crossbow bolt but has since made a full recovery and returned to duties.
King is due to appear at the same court for sentencing on January 31, 2025.
