A scarecrow trail around Marlow Bottom kicked off last weekend – with over 70 villagers and businesses tapping into their creative juices for the quirky annual celebration.
The trail was launched in 2019 and organiser Maria Fernandez said it had become a reliable way to "bring joy to the community" and appeal to locals "of all ages".
This year's entries – free to view in various front gardens around the village – have included a life-size blackbird, light-up ghosts and two elderly people playing cards.
A paper mâché dragon, the gingerbread man from Shrek and SpongeBob SquarePants are also among the fun and colourful creations that have appeared in the area.
Charity group Friends of Burford School organises the trail each year, with the money raised from map sales and a small competitor fee going towards projects and improvements at the local primary school.
New entries can register by emailing scarecrow@friendsofburford.org.uk. The scarecrows will be available to view around the village until Sunday, November 3.
