Emma Reynolds MP has praised the efforts of a community interest company.

The MP met managing director John Shaw and the team at Chiltern Rangers on October 25.

The Chiltern Rangers is a community interest company that manages 12 nature reserves in Wycombe on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council.

These include Castlefield Wood, Chairborough Local Nature Reserve, and Keep Hill Wood.

Mr Shaw said: "We are very proud of what we do at Chiltern Rangers to bring communities and conservation together.

"We involve people of all ages and all abilities in conservation projects, which improve their health and well-being as well as tackling the decline in nature and biodiversity."

Ms Reynolds said: "It was fascinating to hear about the fantastic work that Chiltern Rangers carry out in different parts of our town.

"They are involved in a huge variety of projects, from tackling ash dieback in local woods to working with Bucks New University to make High Wycombe train station more attractive.

"I was particularly interested to hear about their work on restoring wildlife on the River Wye, an internationally significant chalk stream.

"It was delightful to see a kingfisher during our visit to Kingsmead.

"Their work with local special schools, such as Chiltern Wood, is so important in developing the children's confidence and skills for employment.

"I am a big supporter of Chiltern Rangers and I would encourage people to get involved and to find out more about their work."
