A 35-year-old man has been charged after a stabbing at a housing estate in Princes Risborough that left neighbours feeling ‘scared and unsafe’.
Aaron Phillips, of Chequers Avenue in High Wycombe, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to a stabbing in Laidler Gardens at around 10:45pm on Monday, October 21.
A man in his thirties was hospitalised with a head injury after the assault and has since been discharged.
Laidler Gardens residents, many of whom have young children, told the Free Press they felt “scared and unsafe” after hearing shouting on Monday night and a police presence over the following days.
Town councillor Alan Turner described the incident as “very unusual” for the town and said the estate was “not known for any trouble”.
Phillips appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on October 24 and has been remanded in custody.
He will appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on January 5, 2025.
