A high-end furniture and homeware brand has revealed when its newest shop will open on Marlow High Street.

The Cotswold Company submitted plans to makeover the town’s old Natwest branch earlier this month, two years after the bank shut, citing a trend towards predominantly digital services.

And the Gloucestershire-based firm, which has ten other shops in the UK, has confirmed that it will begin welcoming customers into its first Buckinghamshire store this December, just in time to capitalise on last-minute Christmas shoppers.

The alterations proposed for the unit – which have yet to be given the green light by the council – include three new signs with the business’s logo and the removal of an old cashpoint by the building’s ground floor window.

Chief Executive Officer Ralph Tucker described the expansion into Bucks as a “exciting” opportunity to showcase the brand’s bedroom, living and dining ranges, alongside a bespoke upholstery hub – with swatches, styles and fabrics to suit all decorating tastes.

Mr Tucker added that the Marlow opening would “round off a fantastic 2024” for the company, with the small-scale chain reporting a sales growth of 15 per cent in the six months to August and a 21 per cent year-on-year rise in active customers.

The new Cotswold Company branch will create three full and four part-time jobs. For more information, visit https://www.cotswoldco.com/.
