A date has been set for the Christmas light switch on in High Wycombe.
The festivities will take place from 12 noon on Saturday, November 16, with the main event occurring at 6.30pm.
The star officially turning on the lights will be a player from Wycombe Wanderers, but no details of the person in question have been confirmed as of yet.
The traditional family event will be packed with entertainment, featuring children’s rides, gift and craft stalls and even the chance to meet Santa himself.
The food truck village will be dishing out the best in global cuisine with Greek, Indian, Caribbean and German fare, plus pop-ups from Wagamama, Grounded Kitchen and all the best in festive sweet treats.
The town’s mayor, Buckinghamshire Council’s Chairman, cast members from this year’s pantomime at the Wycombe Swan, along with the Chairboys mascot will also be present.
There will be free parking at town council car parks on High Street, Frogmoor, Church Street, Church Square, Cornmarket and Oxford Street.
However, this excludes parking in Eden Shopping Centre.
The event will take place on the same day Wycombe play Huddersfield Town at Adams Park, but, there is a possibility the match could get postponed due to international call ups.
