A supermarket in Marlow was closed after the death of a woman in her eighties, police have confirmed.
The Sainsbury's on West Street was closed to customers yesterday afternoon with multiple police cars and ambulances spotted at the back and front of the store.
Police have now confirmed that the "medical incident" behind the closure was the death of a woman in her eighties, confirmed by ambulance workers at the scene shortly after 1pm.
Her next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by officers.
A spokesperson added: “The thoughts of all of Thames Valley Police are with her family at this very difficult time.
"The woman’s death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The supermarket reopened at around 3pm, with Sainsbury's apologising to customers for "any inconvenience caused" by the closure which was "in support of emergency services".
