The UK's largest retailer for women's fashion Bonmarché will open a new branch in High Wycombe this month.

The high street brand, which is popular with TV stars including Lorraine Kelly who unveiled her collection of affordable dresses with the company this year, will open in the Eden Shopping Centre in late October.

It comes amid a wave of new arrivals to the retail complex including school uniform supplier PMG School Wear and Greggs, Burger Daddy and Taco Bell branches all set to open before the year is out.

The retailer, whose prices typically hover around the £20 to £30 mark, recruited Bourne End resident Lorraine to christen the opening of its Uxbridge store last week - so keep your eyes peeled for similar celebrations in the pipeline for Wycombe shoppers.

Its arrival also follows criticism of the Eden Centre for prioritising new restaurants over traditional shops - with some locals suggesting it was veering close to "food hall" territory.

However, director Andrew Norton was keen to shift focus to a "diverse" range of projects underway at the centre, including indoor go-karting experience TeamSport, indoor climbing centre Clip 'n Climb and soft play centre Jungle Mania, however.

He said: "We're thrilled to welcome new retailers in time for the busy Christmas period.

"At Eden, we are continuously striving to enhance our environment and invite everyone to experience the latest fantastic developments."
