Numerous flags have been erected in Chalfont St Peter to mark the upcoming Remembrance Weekend.
Volunteers from around the village put up the commemorative decorations in the morning of Sunday, October 20.
The flags have been put up on both sides of the High Street, and will remain on display until the middle of November.
Remembrance Sunday will fall on November 10 whilst Armistice Day (the day when the First World War officially ended) is on Monday, November 11.
A brief Facebook post that was shared by the Chalfont St Peter Chamber of Commerce reads: “Thank you so much to the flag fairies out in force this morning [October 20] in this rotten weather!”
Many residents took to social media to praise the volunteers for their efforts.
Rita Blyth said: “Always making the village fit the occasion, thank you all so much.”
Pamela Quinnell added: “Thank you all what a great job on a dreary day.”
The flags are now up and can be viewed by those living in the area, or by commuters passing through the village.
