Police have launched patrols in a village near High Wycombe after someone was ‘cut in the face’ during a heated ‘dispute’.
The assault happened in Prestwood, near Great Missenden, yesterday, Wednesday, October 16.
Thames Valley Police said a dispute between two people known to each other escalated when one of them took “a minor cut to the face”.
They weren’t taken to hospital and the force reassured locals that it was being treated as an isolated incident.
Officers will be on patrol in the area while an investigation is ongoing, however.
Chief Inspector Hayley McEvoy said: “I understand this may cause concern, but I would like to reassure you that (there is) no wider threat to the public.
“We are investigating this and you may notice a police presence as reassurance patrols are ongoing. If you have concerns, please speak to a uniformed officer.”
