Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Milton Keynes that saw a man in his sixties attacked in an underpass.
The man was walking his dog along the Grand Union Canal between Springfield and Peartree Bridge at around 2:10pm on Sunday, October 13, when he was attacked from behind.
The attacker, a white man of around 6 ft with a slim build, then demanded his wallet.
The man in his sixties refused to hand it over and fled from the scene on foot.
Thames Valley Police is now appealing for information about the attempted robbery and the offender in question – who was wearing a dark green or khaki tracksuit when it took place.
Investigating officer DC Michael Edmonds, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We are appealing for information following this incident.
“We are asking anyone with information to please call 101 quoting reference 43240493193.
“Additionally, we ask anyone with mobile footage to get in touch with the force in case it has captured something which may assist this investigation.
“If you do not wish to speak to police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
