A school in High Wycombe has been named as one of the best in the world, according to a new study.

Conducted by The Schools Index by Carfax Education for the fifth year in a row, the organisation has labelled Wycombe Abbey as one of the top 150 private schools across the globe.

Categorised by region, prospective parents and pupils can now access The Schools Index, a list of the top 150 schools for 2024 from across the world, reviewed and selected by a panel of education consultants led by Carfax Education.

The index has labelled Wycombe Abbey in the top 25 Senior schools in the UK, describing the experience at the establishment as a ‘close knit and supportive community’ in which their students can forge ‘life-long friendships’

Top schools listed for 2024 providing exceptional education for pupils include world-renowned British schools such as Eton College, Harrow, Wycombe Abbey, Rugby School and Brighton College, as well as those further afield, such as King's College in New Zealand and Vienna International School.

New entries in The Schools Index this year include UK Senior School Haileybury and UK Prep School Windlesham House.
