An all-female cast are getting ready to perform Shakespeare in High Wycombe.
A Midsummer Night's Dream will be performed by The Whole Pack Theatre Company, a newly founded group, at The Front Room on December 14.
This will be the debut production for the company, which aims to offer women more opportunities in the theatre industry.
The all-female cast and crew will bring a unique twist to the classic Shakespearean roles.
The company was founded by four female theatre professionals who were frustrated by the lack of opportunities for women in the industry.
Libby Boyd will take on the roles of Oberon and Lysander, Megan Carter will play Puck and Hippolyta, and Charlotte Frost will portray Hermia and Quince.
Jessamy James, who also directs the play, will act as Helena and Titania.
Anna Stallibrass will play Demetrius and Flute, while Meghan Louise Taylor will take on Bottom and Theseus.
Carys Vaughan Smith will be the swing and assistant stage manager.
The play is set in a wild, wintry wonderland, with a plot that features warring fairies, four lovers trying to find harmony, and a local amateur dramatics group attempting to rehearse their pantomime.
The Whole Pack Theatre Company described the play as 'Shakespeare meets Narnia in this sparkling midwinter frolic, brought to joyful life by an all-female company.'
The company is also set to perform the show at Sands Village Hall on December 15 and 20.
The show at The Front Room starts at 7pm, and tickets, which include a drink, are priced at £18, and can be bought online.
Further information about the company and the show can be found on their website.
The Front Room, where the play will be performed, is located at 9 Castle St, High Wycombe.
The company will be touring the show around the country from November to January.
