A 43-year-old woman has been jailed for breaching her restraining order.

Giuseppina Rossetti, of West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe, was sentenced to four weeks in prison at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 7.

Rossetti was previously sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, at the same court so this was also activated and added to her sentence concurrently.

She pleaded guilty to one count each of breaching of restraining order and failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice (CPN) at the hearing on October 7, having previously pleaded guilty to a further count of breaching of restraining order and three counts of criminal damage under £5,000.

The 43-year-old was also given a CPN (community protection notice) earlier in the year that prohibits her from asking people for money.

Despite this, Rossetti asked multiple people for money in the streets and at their home addresses across Aylesbury in September.

She was particularly targeting elderly and vulnerable members of our communities.

In one example, she frequently attended retirement complexes and took advantage of vulnerable members of the community.

Furthermore, in August this year, Rossetti attended the address of a man in his 60s in Aylesbury that she is prohibited from attending as per a restraining order.

Following an investigation by the Aylesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team, officers arrested Rossetti on 30 September.

She was charged with numerous offences and remanded to court the following day where she was given a series of fines and a 12-week suspended prison sentence.

However, Rossetti again breached her CPN and restraining order on October 3.

This led her being arrested by the Aylesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Rossetti was again remanded to court, where she pleaded guilty and was given a four-week prison sentence, and the 12-week suspended sentence was activated.

Investigating officer PC Ashley Collins, of the Aylesbury North Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I am pleased Giuseppina Rossetti will serve a prison sentence as a result of continually targeting the most vulnerable members of our society.”
