A restaurant in Princes Risborough that specialises in Asian food has been named one the best in the UK.
Radhuni, which is situated along Church Street in the town, was crowned the ‘Champion of Champions’ at this year’s Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards [the ARTAS] - the highest honour an establishment could win at the ceremony.
They also won the South Central Restaurant category, just days after they were named the best restaurant in Buckinghamshire at the Tommy Miah's International Indian Chef of the Year Award.
Speaking on the latter milestone, which was achieved on October 1, a spokesperson from the restaurant said: “This esteemed recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to culinary excellence, exceptional service, and the authentic dining experience we strive to provide.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to our valued patrons and dedicated team for their continued support, which has made this achievement possible.”
On the most recent wins at the ARTAS which took place in London on October 6, the restaurant said: “Thank you to everyone who supported us and made this journey possible.
“This wouldn't have been possible without your continued love and support.
“We can't wait to see you all soon.”
The three achievements can be backed up by the huge number of positive online reviews the restaurant has achieved.
On Google, Radhuni boasts an average score of 4.5/5 from 501 Google Reviews, whilst, it has the same score but from 1,483 testimonials.
Its popularity has made it the number one restaurant on the site for the Risborough area.
One review reads: “Great service and brilliant food.
“Can’t fault Radhuni - very lucky to have such a good venue in our town.
“Highly recommend.”
The restaurant also replies back to their testimonials, thanking customers for their feedback.
ARTA Founder Mohammed Munim said at the awards this year, “Congratulations to all the winners and finalists of ARTA 2024 – the Pan Asian restaurants, takeaways, and chefs who continue to stand as pillars of excellence in the UK's hospitality industry.
“As the original and premier awards ceremony dedicated to celebrating the best of the UK's Asian restaurant and takeaway sector, we honour your unwavering commitment and passion, which continue to bring unparalleled flavours and experiences to diners across the nation, even in the face of adversity.”
The Free Press contacted the Radhuni’s general manager, Akther Miah, for a chat about their incredible week of wins.
