Hundreds of pounds have been raised for the Chalfont St Peter Youth Centre.

Organised by local Alexander Matthias, Mr Matthias has helped the establishment gain £460 after he recently completed the Boundary Walk.

This is an annual event that takes place in October, where participants can walk from 2.5 miles up to 13 miles in aid of that person’s respective cause.

The campaigner completed his challenge on October 5, receiving a certificate for his award.

Taking to his GoFundMe page, Alexander said: “I have completed the boundary walk I really enjoyed it.

“I walked with my family and my dog Lyra, I think she is more tired than me.

“Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me everyone has been so kind.

“I walked and raised money for my youth club, they do so much for the young SEN (special education needs) community as they work hard to be a nurturing and friendly environment and every week they have lots of different activities.”

The initial target was to raise £100 for the youth centre, but has easily beaten his target, as he closes in on £500.

He continued: “Every year they [the youth centre] do a celebration and we win medals and cups for different things.

“They needed a new roof recently and I know it was a struggle for them to get funds and keep the club going so I just wanted to do my bit for them.

“I have been going to this youth club since I was 12 and now I want to be a helper which I am working hard to be. Thank you again for all your kindness.”
