Dr Helen Pegrum has been awarded the Lifetime Contribution Award at the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT) Awards.
Dr Pegrum, a consultant in palliative care at Florence Nightingale Hospice, was recognised for her more than 25 years of service at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, October 3rd.
Dr Pegrum describes the hospice's role as 'wrapping care around the patient.'
Ann Kenny, the bereavement listening lead at the hospice, won the Kindness Award for her support to hundreds of bereaved people and other bereavement listeners.
Chief executive Jo Turner said: "It is through our support in the community with many of you shopping, donating and volunteering that we are able to invest over £1.4million in the Hospice and its services in the last year.
"Thank you to all our supporters."
The Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity was also recognised for its 35 years of service and financial contribution to the hospice.
