A man who crashed a stolen car into a Marlow bakery before running away on foot has been charged with drug and knife possession and dangerous driving.
Luke Barass, of Lane End in High Wycombe, was spotted driving the stolen car on Cressex Road in Wycombe on Tuesday, October 1.
A police chase to nearby Marlow ensued and ended abruptly when he crashed the car into Burgers Artisan Bakery on Station Road in the town.
Thames Valley Police said Barass had “lost control” of the vehicle before it collided with the family-owned tearoom, and that he then decamped and tried to escape the officers on foot.

The Wycombe native appeared in his local magistrates’ court on Thursday, October 3, where he was remanded in custody.
He will appear in crown court at a later date.
