The arrival of a new fish and chip shop in Downley has got residents talking.
A new chippy called Codzillaz looks set to open at 15 Littleworth Road in the High Wycombe village, years after the unit was vacated by a family-run Chinese restaurant.
Jean Warburton, who lives locally, snapped a photo of the new shopfront while she was passing by this week.
She said she "can't wait for it to open" because "Downley has needed a decent chippy for a long time".

Other eagle-eyed villagers may well have spotted the replacement signage going up last month, replacing that of Chinese takeaway Siew May, which closed back in 2022.
Some of them joined Jean in sharing their excitement about the upcoming arrival on social media, with Rebekah Haywood and Tina Davey both describing it as "great news" and Martin Howland celebrating the occupation of the long-empty unit.
