Parents and guardians have been reminded to not park their cars in ‘dangerous’ areas outside Burford School following several concerns.
Images taken by Thames Valley Police South Buckinghamshire revealed that a handful of motorists had left their vehicles on the corner of junctions, which is hazardous for oncoming traffic.
The parking has been described as ‘inconsiderate’.
A statement from TVP [Thames Valley Police] read: “As our children start their new school term, a reminder to please park considerately. The images show poor parking at Burford School, Marlow Bottom.
“Please don't park on drop-kerbs, within 10m of a junction or opposite junctions (unless in a dedicated parking bay).
“Inconsiderate parking can:
- Be dangerous
- Lead to road traffic collisions
- Be the direct cause of injuries to other road users
- Put children at risk
“Please ensure that you arrive in good time to drop off and pick up.”
Unlawful parking can lead to penalties such as fines and having their vehicles towed.
