A man in Beaconsfield is set to build an eight-bedroom mansion with a cinema, swimming pool and golf simulator.
Mr K Usmani was given planning permission for the project at 32 Burkes Road by Buckinghamshire Council this week.
Planners said he could knock down the existing six-bedroom property at the address, which is believed to have been built in the 1930s.
Mr Umani’s plans read: “The property is dated both in its external appearance and its internal schedule of accommodation and no longer functions well for its occupants or indeed, the needs of modern families.”
The new property’s eight bedrooms will be spread across the first and second floors, while there will also be an apartment for staff above the new garage.
A total of five parking spaces are set to be provided, including three in the garage and two outside.
The ground floor plans show an outdoor swimming pool and pergola, female and male cloakrooms, two dining areas, a library and a kitchen with a pantry.
Meanwhile, a new basement will include a TV and games room, a golf simulation room, a cinema, a gym, a steam room and changing facilities.
A description of the planned new property reads: “The proposed dwelling is generally traditional in its design, featuring classical Georgian detailing, proportions and symmetry.
“Brick detailing has been given preference over stone where appropriate to soften the front elevation and to give a less ostentatious appearance.”
