A yellow weather warning has been issued for various areas of the South East which includes Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
It has been revealed that heavy rain ‘will bring the potential for some flooding and disruption to transport’ between 5pm on Thursday, September 26 to 10am on Friday, September 27.
A comment from the Met Office states: “There is some uncertainty in the details, but some locations may see up 20-30 mm of rain in two to three hours and perhaps 40-60 millimetres in four to six hours.
“Lightning and strong, gusty winds may be additional hazards, especially in southwest coastal areas.
“Given the recent very wet weather, this will bring the potential for further flooding and transport disruption.”
