A village day centre has celebrated its 40th anniversary.
The Nancie Ross Centre in Flackwell Heath marked the milestone with an afternoon tea party on Saturday, September 21.
More than 40 people attended, including original team members, and staff, both current and past, alongside volunteers and helpers.
Guests enjoyed prosecco, scones, and cake while reminiscing about the centre's history.
The centre opened its doors for the first time on September 18, 1984, originally named the Flackwell Heath and Loudwater Day Centre, it initially operated from the community centre before moving to its current building five years later.
When the centre first opened, it only had 18 clients.
The centre was the vision of Nancie Ross, who it is now named after, raised the funds to establish the centre with the help of villagers.
The centre provides companionship, hot meals, and various activities for its clients.
