Drivers have been encouraged to use alternative routes as a section of the A4010 is currently closed.
During morning rush hour on Tuesday, September 24, Thames Valley Roads Policing confirmed that a part of a tree fell into the middle of the road in Great Kimble.
The tree, which is of some stature, collapsed in the recent storms that parts of the South East have been experiencing.
In a brief post on Facebook, the force said: “The #A4010 at Great Kimble Buckinghamshire is closed both ways due to a fallen tree.
“Bucks County Highways are en-route to remove the obstruction, but it will be closed for some time due to the size of the tree.
“Please use surrounding routes with care.”
This is one of the many issues that has recently impacted the county since the weekend.
Areas such as Chalfont St Peter, Aylesbury, Chesham, Amersham and Marlow have all been hit with heavy rain, which has caused numerous shop closures and delays.
Sections of High Streets, along with schools, have been forced to temporarily shut, with huge delays being spotted on the roads.
Rain is expected to continue throughout the course of the week, but this will clear up by Saturday.
