A machete was brandished in broad daylight as a chase between four people took place in Buckinghamshire.

The incident happened around 3pm on Monday, September 16, between Knebworth Gate and Hainhalt Avenue by Giffard Park in Milton Keynes.

Two of the suspected offenders were spotted riding a moped whilst another was on one foot, as they approached the victim whilst showing the weapon in question.

The perpetrators then stopped chasing the victim, whose gender has not been disclosed, after that ran towards several shops in the area.

No-one was injured and no hospital treatment was required.

The moped is described as a 2006/2007 plate moped in a Khaki green colour.

In terms of the alleged offender’s appearance, one has been described as a 20-year-old white male, who was wearing a black balaclava, grey windbreaker with black jogging bottoms and black Nike Airforce trainers.

The second offender has been described as a 17-year-old boy wearing a black hoodie, with the hood up.

Investigating officer PC William Marrable, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I’m appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I would also ask anyone who may have dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage to please contact us if it has captured the incident.
