A charity based near Chesham that works with people and horses has spoken about the work that they do.

Bank Farm RDA, which is situated in Ashley Green, aim to help improve the lives of local children with physical, learning and sensory disabilities through riding.

The charity engages with individual families and also through schools where there is a high percentage of children with physical, emotional or psychological needs.

Founder Anne Coney said: “Emma [who is one of their clients] is six-years-old.

She cannot walk but that doesn’t matter when she is on a pony.

“Her smile reminds me why I have devoted 50 years to supporting disabled children.

“Over 60 children benefit from Bank Farm RDA each week."

She added: "We engage with individual families and also through schools where there is a high percentage of children with physical, emotional or psychological needs.

"We create an environment where no matter your challenges and ability we focus on celebrating achievements, every tiny step.

"For example, staying focused, calming down, engaging in eye contact, completing a task.

"We deliver hope and create the opportunity for children with disabilities to feel positive about what they can do."
