A 25-year-old man has been jailed after admitting to committing drug crimes in Aylesbury.
Eleftherios Kentoglou, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property midway through a trial at Aylesbury Crown Court on Thursday, September 12.
He had initially pleaded not guilty to this offence.
This is in relation to an incident that occurred on Monday, April 22 this year, when officers from Thames Valley Police stopped and detained Kentoglou in Birch Court.
He was found in possession of £400 worth of cocaine and more than £1,100 in cash.
He was arrested, charged and remanded on the same day.
Following his conviction, Kentoglou has been jailed for two years.
PC Ben McNeill, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We will continue to pursue and disrupt drug dealers in our communities.
“During this stop and search, Kentoglou was found in possession of class A drugs, and I am pleased we have managed to bring him to justice, and he will now serve a prison sentence.
“Tackling the supply of drugs remains a priority for Thames Valley Police. Our activity will be both visible and covert.
“We would urge anybody who has any information relating to the supply of drugs to please report this to Thames Valley Police.
“The information provided plays a pivotal role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation and we will never tire in tackling this type of offending, which often targets and harms the most vulnerable people in our community.
