An event to celebrate Bengal culture will take place in High Wycombe this weekend.
Located at the Royal Grammar School on Sunday, September 15, the nine-hour event will see members of the South Asian community, as well as those in the area, coming to see a sea of colour.
The festival will feature children's live performances, a Bengal folk and band concert, a fashion show, a variety of Desi stalls, Bengali street food and an award-giving ceremony followed by a charity dinner.
Before the festival, we will be holding a football mini tournament uniting all ages to enjoy this festival as one.
This will be an opportunity for our community to come together as one and enjoy the rich culture of Bangla.”
Khaled Patwary, one of the organisers of the event, said: “This vibrant event captures Bengali culture and heritage, through a dynamic blend of performances, exhibitions and award-giving, to promote business and education.
“To add a philanthropic dimension to the festival, there will be an opportunity to have a charity gala dinner with the distinguished guests.”
