Stowe House has been offering a series of exclusive events this autumn.
The historic property is inviting the public to explore its heritage and ongoing restoration through a series of talks and tours.
The events are part of a year of celebrations, culminating in a chance to experience the craftsmanship and conservation efforts that have transformed Stowe House into one of Britain’s most significant historic houses.
The Georgian Group awarded Stowe House for its ‘Restoration of a Georgian Country House’.
The house has already hosted two events in September - with guided tours of part of the estate and a talk on restoration and conservation - and there is a further event in October.
On Thursday, October 24, the celebration of 25 years of restoration at Stowe House continues with a special tour led by Anna McEvoy, Co-Director of the Stowe House Preservation Trust.
Starting at 6pm, the £10 per person tour will take visitors through the beautifully restored State Rooms, showcasing the historical research and craftsmanship that have returned the 18th-century treasure to its original splendour.
Anna McEvoy, who has been involved in the restoration project since 2005, will offer a detailed look at the restoration process.
She said: "Stowe House is not just a historic artefact, but a living, breathing building that has inspired generations of visitors and students.
"Our events offer visitors the chance to see how we preserve this legacy and share the stories behind its restoration."
The events reflect the ongoing work of the Stowe House Preservation Trust, which is dedicated to maintaining the history and beauty of the site.
Once home to a prominent political family, Stowe House continues to engage visitors with its architecture and art.
