Heavy rain is forecast to continue across the county today after a night of thunder and lightning.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Buckinghamshire for Sunday, September 8, with heavy and possibly thundery rain expected to cause flooding and disruption across most of southern England.
The warning will be in place until 6pm, with a small chance of power cuts, cancellations to bus and train services and difficult driving conditions.
South Bucks is reportedly in for some heavy showers in the morning, with a grey and wet start to the day that is expected to clear by the evening.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said some areas in the southeast could see between 40 and 60 mm of rain today, with a higher impact than normal after heavy downpours earlier this week.
Some sunshine is also likely to develop but will be offset by further slow-moving thunderstorms.
The spokesperson warned that further updates and weather warnings could be issued before 6pm, including escalations to amber on a more localised scale.
