A Buckinghamshire village retirement community's summer barbecue highlighted the potential life on offer for residents.
More than 40 guests and homeowners enjoyed a Caribbean-themed barbecue at The Cloisters, hosted by retirement developer McCarthy Stone.
The event, part of Great Missenden's social calendar, featured refreshing summer drinks and lively steelpan music.
Visitors were invited to tour the 'stylish' show apartments and communal spaces at The Cloisters, designed for comfortable, practical living.
The McCarthy Stone team shared details of a limited-time offer, allowing buyers to save £20,000 on select properties reserved at The Cloisters before August 31.
First-time visitors also received £20 M&S vouchers as an incentive.
John Michael Tabakian, divisional sales director at McCarthy Stone, said: "We were absolutely bowled over by the turnout at our summer barbecue.
"Many guests praised the ‘incredible’ food and ‘spirited’ live music that had everyone on their feet.
"At McCarthy Stone, we’re keen to give prospective homeowners a real flavour of the lifestyle we offer at each of our developments, from the thriving community and spectacular communal spaces right through to the variety of social events."
The Cloisters offers a mix of one and two-bedroom luxury retirement apartments for the over 60s.
Homeowners can enjoy facilities including a communal lounge, landscaped gardens, and a hotel-style guest suite for visitors.
A house manager oversees the development during office hours, and properties are fitted with a 24-hour emergency call system.
Prices for the apartments start at £299,999 for one-bedroom and £399,999 for two-bedroom options.
McCarthy Stone has received the full five-star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation, with more than nine out of ten customers recommending the developer to a friend.
It is the only UK housebuilder to achieve this rating every year it has participated in the survey.
