Stand-up comedian and former Mock the Week host Russell Howard has upped sticks and moved his family from London to Buckinghamshire. Have you spotted him on your morning commute?

The 44-year-old is also known for his TV shows Russell Howard’s Good News and The Russell Howard Hour and, until recently, lived with his wife Cerys Morgan in Primrose Hill, London.

Since welcoming a baby son earlier this year, however, it's no wonder the comedian is looking to put down roots – and he couldn’t have chosen a better place than leafy green Buckinghamshire, if we do say so ourselves.

In an interview with The Times at the end of August, Howard revealed he had moved to Beaconsfield with his small family, partly because of his wife’s work as a doctor in a local hospital.

The dad-of-one also shed light on life in the home counties during the conversation, sharing anecdotes about dog Fred’s newfound love of “fox s***”, which there is “lots of” around here, apparently.

He is also continuing to commute from Beaconsfield to Marylebone and admitted that he “gets recognised quite a lot”, though often by “young people asking for a photo (and) telling me that their dad is going to love it” – an adjustment he credits to entering “the autumn of life”.

Slower, family life in Bucks seems to suit him, though. Howard told The Times: “Six months ago, my evenings would have been getting ready to go out and perform in front of thousands of people, but now evenings find me sitting on the sofa watching TV with my son on my chest.”

At the very least, he’s “giving this new life a spin”. Have you seen him out and about?
