A man has been arrested for assault after a woman was ‘grabbed and dragged her down to the floor’ in Chesham.

The woman, who is in her late 30s, was attacked on Bellingdon Road at around 11pm on Saturday, August 31.

She wasn’t injured in the altercation, which involved being “grabbed and dragged down to the floor”.

A 42-year-old man who lives in Chesham was arrested on suspicion of assault and Thames Valley Police is looking for witnesses to inform an ongoing investigation.

Investigating officer PC Charlotte Wythe-Pearce said: “I’m appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident to please get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who may have dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage to please contact us if it has captured the incident.
