A lightbox from Pinewood Studios' famous 007 stage - where 22 of the 24 James Bond films were shot - is going under the hammer.

The light was first hung at The Albert R. Broccoli 007 Stage at Pinewood, in Iver Heath, for the filming of 1977 Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me, starring Roger Moore.

It belonged to producer Cubby Broccoli, who also worked on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Bond films For Your Eyes Only, Moonraker and Octopussy.

The electric 44 x 94 x 4 cm sign lit up the entrance to the stage before it was replaced during a routine upgrade.

Before it was taken down, the hanging oversaw productions shot at the 007 stage including its transformation into a Cambodian temple for Angelina Jolie's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and The Louvre gallery for The Da Vinci Code.

“The house has been running dedicated Bond sales for years – they recently sold a substantial part of the collection of Steve Oxenrider, arguably the world’s leading Bond collector.”

The 007 sign will go on auction on September 12 and is expected to sell for between £2,000 and £3,000. Live online bids can be made at www.ewbankauctions.co.uk.
