Taco Bell could be arriving in High Wycombe this autumn if plans for a new illuminated sign in the Eden Shopping Centre are approved.
The popular American food chain is eyeing 22 Newlands Meadow in the retail complex, the home of Bill’s before its closure last March.
Hospitality company Blue Bell Foods Limited has applied for permission to display an illuminated sign bearing the Taco Bell logo alongside a lighting trough and neon arrow outside the unit.
If given the go-ahead by Buckinghamshire Council, it would be the chain's first branch in Wycombe and second in the county.

Advertisement consent is sought from October 8 this year until 2029 – meaning the Mexican-inspired restaurant could open before the end of 2024.
Director of the Eden Centre, Andrew Norton, told the Free Press in January that a host of exciting new retail and restaurant arrivals were on the cards for the following 12 months – an announcement that was followed by Tesco Express, Primark and Sports Direct putting down roots in vacant units.
22 Newlands Meadow has laid empty since Bill’s closed its doors last spring amid “difficult market conditions”.
