A man has been charged with shoplifting in two Buckinghamshire towns.
Officers were patrolling in Aylesbury on Monday, August 19 when they came across a man accused of targeting stores in the town as well as High Wycombe.
The man was arrested and taken into police custody where he has since been charged with five counts of shoplifting.
He is due in court this morning (Wednesday, August 28).
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “The male was promptly arrested and taken into custody where he received five charges of shoplifting, he was then remanded in police custody for court in the morning.
“This forms part of a force-wide priority known as operation purchase, focused on tackling shoplifting, retail crime and violence towards shop workers.”
