Plans to build 50 new flats in an office block in Chalfont St Peter have been approved by Buckinghamshire Council.
Chalprop Ltd will create the new apartments in ‘Building 1’ at Chalfont Park off the Chalfont St Peter Bypass A413 near Gerrards Cross.
The applicant said the redeveloped site will include a mix of eight studios, 34 one-bedroom flats and eight two-bedroom flats across three floors.
The company has not proposed any external changes to the detached three-storey building, with a bin area and three cycle stores accommodating 50 bicycles to be located inside.
Planning officers said the five motorcycle bays and 96 parking spaces – including eight disabled bays – proposed were in line with the council’s parking requirements.
The council said it had given its prior approval to the proposals subject to conditions requiring the reporting of any unexpected contamination and the submission of a noise mitigation scheme.
The approved application is identical to a previous set of plans for the site that that were approved in September 2021, apart from the addition of short stay cycle parking.
In a statement on behalf of the applicant, Savills said: “Given that those units must be ready for occupation by 20 September 2024 in order to enact the change of use and works have not begun on site at the time of writing, the Applicant is seeking to re-apply for the same scheme.”
