A Go Ape centre in Buckinghamshire is to get new facilities if a new planning application is approved.
Plans have been submitted to install a new treetop nets and high ropes course and a reception unit at Go Ape in Wendover Woods.
Adventure Forest Ltd has applied to Buckinghamshire Council to make the changes to the popular outdoor adventure site near Wendover
The plans for the new facilities show images of a proposed new wooden office area and check-in window for visitors.
One document also shows a proposed new nets course spanning raised platforms between nine trees, while another shows plans for a wooden staircase, which will allow visitors to access the first of the raised platforms in the new course.
Plans state: “The site is an irregular-shaped plot covering an area of approximately 0.25 hectares and forms part of the main Wendover Woods visitor area.
“The site is bordered to the west by the existing Go Ape course. A new café building borders the site to the south-east, with visitor and staff buildings to the east and northeast. A large car park borders the site to the north.”
The Go Ape site, which is open seven days a week, already hosts three ‘high ropes experiences’, including its ‘treetop challenge’.
This is a series of raised crossings which visitors climb across above the forest floor before ziplining back to the ground.
