Taylor Swift fans have been warned of rail disruption ahead of her latest round of Wembley gigs - as Buckinghamshire residents are urged to brace themselves for busier-than-usual trains.

Swift returns to Wembley this evening for her first performance since an alleged terror plot disrupted her Austria concerts.

Chiltern Railways is urging ticket holders for the upcoming concerts to plan their journeys ahead to avoid any disruption.

The services are anticipated to experience higher passenger volumes and queuing systems are due to be implemented.

Chiltern Railways, serving Wembley Stadium station, will offer special timetables on all five concert dates namely Thursday, August 15, Friday, August 16, Saturday, August 17, Monday, August 19, and Tuesday, August 20.

Extra trains will be added to carry concert-goers to and from the events, alongside modifications to evening peak services from London Marylebone.

All journey plan changes have been noted online.

Richard Allan, managing director of Chiltern Railways, said: "Taylor Swift playing five separate dates at Wembley has a generated a huge amount of interest from her fans and we will be running more trains to and from Wembley Stadium station as part of the wider public transport in place to get fans to and from the concerts.

"Our advice to customers is to expect trains to be busy, to travel as early as possible, and to be aware that a will be a queuing system in place for customers catching the train from Wembley Stadium station after the event."

Alterations also scheduled for services on Saturday, August 17, include a decreased service to one train per hour between 12pm and 8pm on the Metropolitan Line from London Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway via Amersham.

After 8pm, there will be rail replacement buses between Beaconsfield and stations towards Aylesbury Vale parkway.

Trains to London Marylebone will be available from Beaconsfield.

Furthermore, a rail replacement service between Oxford and Oxford Parkway will come into effect from 10.55pm due to engineering works.

Swift has already delighted fans with three shows at the England football stadium as a part of her record-shattering Eras gigs.

The star is scheduled to grace the stage for another five performances which will mark the conclusion of her European tour.

Her previous London shows made headlines as her American football player boyfriend, Travis Kelce, surprised audiences with an on-stage appearance.

As expected, fans are thrill-bound as they queue early to secure front-row spots, exchanging bracelets and expressing their admiration for the star.

Earlier in July, tragedy struck when three young girls tragically died during a Swift-inspired dance class in Merseyside's Southport.

Shocked by the incident, Swift expressed her condolences via Instagram, saying: "I'm completely in shock" and "at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families".

Shortly after, all three of her scheduled shows in Vienna were cancelled following the revelation of a suspected terror plot.
