Plans for a new and improved farm shop on the edge of High Wycombe have been welcomed by residents.
The farm shop at Bolter End Farm, Finings Road, Lane End is set to be extended after planning permission was granted by Buckinghamshire Council.
All the back of shop functions will be brought under a single roof, while a dedicated parking area serving the farm shop will also be provided.
To create the extension, several existing buildings including some that are part of the current farm shop will be demolished.
Members of the public have welcomed the plans, which were put forward by the well-known Lacey Family, who have farmed the land at Bolter End Farm since 1884.
Raymond Connelly wrote to the council: “I utilise Laceys Farm Shop a lot and view them as huge asset for the local community.”
Meanwhile, Emily Hare said: “The produce is great quality, and the staff are always so friendly and helpful.
“It is great to know we can buy food which is produced locally, and my children love knowing that the cows they see on walks and in the farmyard are the ones that produce their milk for their breakfasts!”
The Laceys have been recognised for several of their products, including their whole milk and double cream, which received gold stars in the National Great Taste Awards.
The farm shop sells fruit and veg, eggs, sauces, chutneys, fresh meat, deli items and other foodstuffs.
