Proposed changes to a plan to create 33 new homes in Little Marlow have been approved by Buckinghamshire Council.
Plans to change the use of offices in the Grade II listed Westhorpe House at Westhorpe Park were originally given the green light in December.
But further additional plans to add a new clock tower to the coach house at the site and alter the parking layout have also now been signed off by planning officers.
The coach house at Westhorpe Park is known to have historically had a clock tower, with the structure visible in photos from 1945.
Planners also approved the addition of new balconies to one of the apartment blocks to provide ‘external private amenity space’ for residents.
Applicant Windmill Hampton Hill Limited said that no works were proposed to Westhorpe House itself.
Its plans read: “With the considerations taken throughout the design process and the response to context, we consider the proposal to preserve the character of the area and meet the necessary planning requirements for approval.
“The proposal takes into account the neighbouring properties and addresses the original structure, whilst enhancing the overall appearance of the building.”
The planning permission from December approved plans for the offices to be used as nine one-bedroom, 17 two-bedroom and seven three-bedroom apartments.
