Police have arrested two men on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing at a music festival left a man fighting for his life.
Officers and medical staff were called to the main arena of The National Bowl in Milton Keynes at around 8:50pm on Sunday, August 4, where Reggae Land Festival was taking place over the weekend.
A man with stab wounds was taken to hospital in a critical condition, and is now understood to be stable and recovering.
Meanwhile, authorities have arrested two men, aged 29 and 31-years-old, on suspicion of attempted murder, public order offences and drug offences.
They are being held in custody, and police have assured locals that the “concerning” incident is being treated as a “targeted attack” with no wider public risk.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Graeme Williams, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We have been working very closely with the event organisers and their security team, and we are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
“If anyone has mobile phone footage or anything that may help us with our investigation, please come forward.
“If you witnessed the assault or have any other information and haven’t already spoken to a police officer, please call 101, or visit our website, quoting investigation reference number 20240726-1285.”
